Content management Content management sites are among the latest developments introduced to websites. These are of interest to commercial companies or organizations and media institutions as they enjoy full control of managing their site content in terms of introducing new content, modifying existing content or deletion, such as merging articles, photos, sound files, etc. This is a substitute for the direct intervention of site designers or programmers. Content management sites allow owners to merge the latest technology required in the world of ecommerce. Some such techniques include blogs, forums, and gates. The growing complexity and interdependence of content, as well as the size and speed required by digital publishing rendered the use of website information management indispensable. A recent study conducted by the Center for Digital Economy Studies (Madar Research) expected the GCC market for document and content management to grow at the rate of 32% in 2009. This forecast is based on growing demand for the adoption of content management solutions on part of government and quasi-government agencies, petroleum and gas companies and banking institutions. The study expected this year's GCC volume of spending on content and document management programs and services to reach US$94 million, compared with US$72 million in 2008. It also pointed out that the volume of spending on content management solutions amounted to US$23 million in the United Arab Emirates and US$16 million in Saudi Arabia in 2004. Accordingly, Media International is among the most important companies seeking to adopt the solutions that we provide to our customers with the aim of building and managing the content of their portals. Reading Islam Website The Reading Islam project aims to acquaint the Western public in non-Muslim cultures with Islam as both a religion and a culture in order to provide a comprehensive and true vision of the Islamic system. The Reading Islam project depends on the English language to relay its message through diverse media tools and channels. The first such tool is the Reading Islam website which provides information to its non-Muslim and new Muslim public within an intellectual and cultural framework that explains Islam's ideology in a way compatible with the mentality of Western societies and non-Islamic cultures. The project's most important objective is to provide new converts to Islam in the West with spiritual strength and useful Islamic information that suits their religious, intellectual and cultural background. Among the most significant issues that the site addressed over the past years, working to clarify Islam's position toward them, were issues of intellectual interest in the West, such as the rights of Muslim women, international peace and human rights, minority rights, religious freedom, the preservation of the environment, compassion for animals, etc. The site succeeded in relaying the message in a modern manner that suits the diverse sectors of the Western public leading to the conversion of a number of readers to Islam, by the grace of God Almighty. Thus, the project started to develop itself and seek to use other tools in relaying its message. Indeed, the work team started preparing to establish the Reading Islam Academy and Cultural Center. This stage of the project aims to work on communicating the same message using the same approach through e-training, seminars and workshops which will enrich the target audience's religious and cultural dialogue.
